Das Hamburger Duo Ivy Flindt veröffentlicht am 12. April 2019 seine neue Single „When You’re Not Around“ vom Album „In Every Move“.

Es braucht nicht einmal 30 Sekunden in ihrem Song „When You’re Not Around“ und schon haben Cate Martin und Micha Holland wieder einmal die große Stärke von Ivy Flindt ausgespielt: Bei ihnen sitzt einfach jeder Ton, jedes Wort, jede Nuance. Allein dieses wie ein Echo hallende Gitarrenmotiv, das den Song eröffnet und die Stimmung setzt, bis Cate die Killerzeile singt: „She was ashes, she was glory, she ruled you straight away“. Es entspinnt sich eine Geschichte von Sehnsucht, Verlust, Eifersucht und immer wieder: Versuchung. „Temptation alway wins“, heißt es einmal. Und zuvor: „I could tell from across the room / That girl’s a story / You just cleared your page for“.
