Am 10. August 2012 erscheint das neue Album "Loyalty" von Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub auf Cargo Records. So stilprägend wie dieser Dortmunder Musiker waren nicht eben viele für die deutsche Independent-Musikszene. Phillip Boa wanderte zwischen Punk und New Wave und veröffentlichte seit 1984 17 Studioalben. Das Album "Loyalty" zeigt Boa's Einflüsse: David Bowie, frühe Roxy Music, Postpunk, Joy Division und trotzdem ist die Leichtigkeit, Härte und Modernität aktueller Bands wie Arcade Fire, Vaccines, Horrors, Lykke Li etc. zu spüren.
